AFIA Statement to Media on FDA Guidance Document on Antibiotics

The following statement from Joel G. Newman, president and CEO, American Feed Industry Association, concerns today’s release of a guidance document concerning antibiotics in livestock feed by the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine. 
    
AFIA is thoroughly reviewing the FDA/CVM publication and will provide comments. We look forward to continuing our discussions with FDA and participating in an objective, science-based process as the agency continues its efforts.
