Our History

One hundred years ago a small group of livestock feed manufacturers gathered in Chicago on two occasions in the spring of 1909, and together they formed the American Feed Manufacturers Association, known as the American Feed Industry Association today. 

Ever since, the association and its members have worked together as a unified team to advocate for a uniform model feed bill and other issues and programs of mutual concern and benefit. While members may compete in business, they cooperate to solve common challenges and work for the common good.
