AFIA, Feedstuffs Partner on 2008 Feed Mill of the Year Program AFIA is pleased to announce its new partnership with
Feedstuffs, a weekly publication focused on the feed industry.
Beginning immediately, AFIA and Feedstuffs will work together to coordinate the Feed Mill of the Year awards program for 2008.
Feed mill operators interested in applying for the 2008 award should watch for additional information in coming weeks. The forms to complete for the competition will be available online soon.
The new, online form is expected to be easier to use than previous online forms. For example, in the past, if the individual assigned to complete the online form needed to step away from his or her computer, it was not possible to save the data already entered and return to it several hours or days later. The new online form will be designed so it may be completed in more than one sitting if necessary.
In addition, the
Feedstuffs graphic design team is developing a new logo for the 2008 competition. The logo will be unveiled in the weeks ahead.
About 100 feed mills compete to win the Feed Mill of the Year designation, and the program dates back to 1985. The Southern States Cooperative facility in Park City, Ky., received the honor in 2007. Last year’s runner-up was the Cargill Animal Nutrition plant in Seguin, Texas.
Feedstuffs, which is edited and published by Sarah Muirhead, is based in Minnetonka, Minn.
