Leah Wilkinson, American Feed Industry Association director of ingredients, pet food and state affairs, was selected to participate in the Texas Agricultural
Lifetime Leadership program led by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Twenty-eight people representing 26 different communities across Texas have been chosen for the program. During the course of two years, the participants will undergo an intensive study of agriculture worldwide focusing on ecology, economics, education opportunities, government, policy and social issues. The areas will be explored through seminars, meetings with leaders of government and business, on-site tours of agricultural-related businesses and international study. Participants including Wilkinson will gain a broad perspective on agriculture by visiting all regions of the state, as well as Washington D.C., Maryland, New York, California and Israel.
