In an effort to better educate and connect the U.S. animal food industry, the American Feed Industry Association announces its calendar of events for 2016, with additional meetings to be scheduled. The events, which vary in topic, location and target audience, will kick off Jan. 26-28, 2016, in Atlanta, Ga., with the International Production & Processing Expo, co-hosted with the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and the North American Meat Institute, and run through Nov. 3-5, 2016, in Tucson, Ariz., at AFIA's Equipment Manufacturers Conference.
"AFIA applauds Congress for its action today in approving the Fiscal Year 2016 omnibus spending bill (H.R. 2029), which funds the government through September 2016. The action means no threat of government shutdown before the holidays.
The American Feed Industry Association hosted its Regulatory Training Seminar--a biennial event--in Arlington, Va., Dec. 9-10. The training pinpointed regulatory hot topics affecting the U.S. feed industry including genetically modified labeling challenges, biosecurity and trade, as well as numerous training exercises.
