Hosted by AFIA's Equipment Manufacturers Committee, the educational event is designed to address the many issues pertinent to today's equipment designers, builders and installers who serve the feed, pet food and ingredient industries. This year's meeting theme is "Feeding the World: Challenges and Opportunities," and sessions will cover topics such as climate change impacts, GMOs and world affairs, and future opportunities in the global feed industry.
A wide array of speakers are scheduled to attend including: Kim Koch, Northern Crop Institute; sustainability expert Frank Mitloehner, Ph.D., University of California; Joel Sparks, Foster Farms; Andy Vance, Feedstuffs; and Adel Yusupov, International Feed.
"AFIA is pleased to offer an interactive event that will uniquely benefit attendees and their companies and prepare them for the changes happening in the industry," said Keith Epperson, AFIA vice president of manufacturing and training.
The conference will also feature its annual golf scramble tournament-a fundraiser for the EMC Scholarship Fund-to be played at the Desert Springs Golf Club. Registration for the tournament is available when registering for EMC.
