Preparing for FDA: Before, During and After an Inspection

Brochure and Registration Form
Directions to register online

This webcast will focus on what managers should know about U.S. Food and Drug Administration facility inspections. For instance, did you know FDA does not have the authority to stop mill operations as the rules implementing the Food Safety Modernization Act are finalized?
The program will feature Richard Sellers, American Feed Industry Association senior vice president, legislative and regulatory affairs and an attorney from AFIA’s outside legal counsel, John Dillard. The webcast will detail what you need to know about inspections and your firm’s obligations, as well as how to respond to FDA’s various inspectional requests for information. The program will also present information on the documents you should or should not supply to FDA during an inspection.
Questions may be submitted by participants before, during or after the webcast. Each participant will receive a copy of the recorded program, guidance documents on inspections and records, and a short brochure and onepager of the salient points of the webcast that can be a quick study for manufacturing facilities.
Who should attend? This program is designed for Compliance and Quality Directors, Mill Managers, IT Personnel, Dealers, Ingredient Suppliers, Pet Food Manufacturers, Purchasing Directors, but all are welcome to participate.
Webcasting is the latest technology used by high-speed communication lines, but it can be used by modem lines as well. To access the webcast, each participant will need to visit the website provided after registration and enter a password and other information where needed. Please note, AFIA’s webcast supplier allows for sound to be sent via your computer (if you are utilizing speakers) so no phone is necessary. If you choose to use the phone for listening, a number will be provided.
Once logged into the website, you will see the first slide. When the presentation begins, you will be able to hear the presenter over the phone or through your computer. All lines will be muted from the start. If a participant wishes to ask a question during the presentation, simply type the question into the system. Questions will be kept in a queue and answered as time permits or after the webcast via email
