Who plans this event?

AFIA's Equipment Manufacturers Committee oversees the planning of the conference. We want to thank them for all their hard work and dedication to providing a fanstastic program. 

What can I expect at EMC?    

This event focuses on updating the equipment sector of the feed industry on current issues and trends, providing an environment for learning from educational speakers and industry leaders, and brings the industry together to network. Conference attendees include equipment manufacturers, equipment installers, contractors and users of the equipment from the feed manufacturing sector. All proceeds after expenses from the conference support the Equipment Manufacturers Scholarship Fund. 

What are the registration costs? 

The early-bird fees are $720 for Members, $1,415 for Nonmembers and $275 for Spouse if you register by Oct. 4, 2019.  After that the rates go up to $770 for Members, $1,515 for Nonmembers.  Registration closes on Oct. 24, 2019, and only onsite rates are available at that point.  Registration includes admittance to all the education sessions, meals and the networking opportunities.  Badges are required for admittance. 

Where can I book a hotel room?

A block of rooms has been reserved for Nov. 2, 2019 - Nov. 11, 2019, at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa. The special room rate will be available until October 5th or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Booking a reservation from the Hilton site is simple. How do I register?

To register, click here for online or here complete the writable registration form (type directly on the document) and mail, email or fax it to the AFIA office, or visit afia.org to register online. For your convenience, a list of registrants will be shared with attendees prior to the event. A printed registration list will not be available in 2019. Instead we invite you to take advantage of viewing it via our event app. 

What is the registration cancellation policy?

A 90% refund is available if you notify AFIA of cancellation in writing by Sept. 20. A 50% refund is available when received prior to Oct. 25. No refund is available after Oct. 27. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the event. AFIA reserves the right to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.

Is there a 1-day registration option?

We do not offer a 1-day registration option. Instead, we urge you to participate in all general sessions and reception at the event to maximize the benefits. 

What is the dress code?

The dress code for this event is resort casual. November temperatures in Marco Island have an average high of 86 degrees and 65 degrees as a low.

Who do I notify about a food allergy?

There is a space during the registration process to let AFIA know about a food allergy.  You may also email register@afia.org

What if I need a special accommodation for a disability?

This meeting is open to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability. What are the terms and conditions of registering?

By registering for AFIA’s conference, you are agreeing that any photos or videos taken throughout the conference or at any networking events may be used for AFIA’s communications and marketing purposes. Registrants will receive a name badge that must be worn for entry into all speaking sessions, exhibit halls, meals and social functions.
