Who plans this event?

AFIA's Equipment Manufacturing Committee oversees the planning of the conference. We want to thank them for all their hard work and dedication to providing a fantastic program. 

How will EMC be different in this new era? 

The American Feed Industry Association will be holding this meeting in accordance with state and local regulations and will be implementing precautions based on CDC and the Hilton recommendations. More information will be available as we get closer to Nov. 2022. Should you have any questions or concerns before these details are available, please contact Rebecca Kane, CMP, director of meetings and events at rkane@afia.org.

Who and why should I attend? 

WHO: Conference attendees include equipment manufacturers, equipment installers, contractors and users of the equipment from the feed manufacturing sector. 

WHY: This event focuses on updating the equipment sector of the feed industry on current issues and trends, providing an environment for learning from educational speakers and industry leaders and brings the industry together to network. PLUS: All the proceeds from the event are donated to an EMC Scholarship Fund. 

What are the registration costs? 

The early-bird fees are $720 for Members, $1,415 for Nonmembers and $275 for Spouse if you register by Oct. 7, 2022. The regular registration fees are $780 for Members, $1,600 for Nonmembers and $350 for Spouse if you register after Oct. 7, 2022. The registration deadline for Golf and Dinner is Oct. 28, 2022.   

Registration includes admittance to all the education sessions, 2 breakfasts, 1 reception, 1 lunch and unlimited networking opportunities. Badges are required for admittance. A fundraising golf tournament and group dinner are also available for an additional fee per person. AFIA reserves the right to deny registration to the conference. 

How do I register?

What is the registration cancellation policy?

A 90% refund is available if you notify AFIA of cancellation in writing no later than Sept. 23, 2022. A 50% refund is available when received no later than Oct. 28, 2022. No refund is available after Oct. 28, 2022. The Golf tournament or group dinner is non-refundable after Oct. 28, 2022. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the event. AFIA reserves the right to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.

Is the conference approved for ARPAS credits?

The agenda has been approved for 3 ARPAS CEU's. 

What is the dress code?

The dress code for this event is business casual. November temperatures in St. Petersburg have an average high of 78 degrees and 59 degrees as a low.

Are sleeping accommodations included in the registration fee? 

No, once registered you must contact the hotel to make your hotel reservation or use this link. We recommend you use this link to take advantage of the special block set-up for conference attendees.

Do I have to register for the conference to participate in the golf outing?

Yes, attendees must be registered for EMC in order to participate in the golf tournament and/or the group dinner. This includes all spouses/guests who are attending. AFIA reserves the right to deny registration to the conference. 

Is there a 1-day registration option?

We do not offer a 1-day registration option. Instead, we urge you to participate in all general sessions and receptions at the event to maximize the benefits. 

Who do I notify about a food allergy?

There is space during the registration process to let AFIA know about a food allergy. You may also email register@afia.org

What if I need special accommodation for a disability?

This meeting is open to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability. What are the terms and conditions of registering?

By registering for AFIA’s conference, you are agreeing that any photos or videos taken throughout the conference or at any networking events may be used for AFIA’s communications and marketing purposes. You agree to abide by the AFIA Antitrust Compliance and Confidentiality Policy and by registering are aware of AFIA's legal notice. Registrants will receive a name badge that must be worn for entry into all speaking sessions, exhibit halls, meals and social functions.
