Who plans this event?

AFIA's Equipment Manufacturers Committee oversees the planning of the conference. We want to thank them for all their hard work and dedication to providing a fanstastic program. 

What can I expect at EMC?    

This event focuses on updating the equipment sector of the animal food industry on current issues and trends, providing an environment for learning from educational speakers and industry leaders, and brings the industry together to network. Conference attendees include equipment manufacturers, equipment installers, contractors and users of the equipment from the feed manufacturing sector. All proceeds after expenses from the conference support the Equipment Manufacturers Scholarship Fund. 

What are the registration costs? 

The early-bird fees are $720 for Members, $1,450 for Nonmembers and $275 for Spouse/Guest if you register by Oct. 4.  After that the rates go up to $800 for Members, $1,600 for Nonmembers and $300 for Spouse/Guest.

Registration includes admittance to all the education sessions, meals and the networking opportunities.  Badges are required for admittance. 

Where can I book a hotel room?

To reserve your room at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, click here or call (239) 444-1234 and mention the "AFIA 2024 Equipment Manufacturers Conference" to receive the room block rate of $279 per night (plus taxes) plus a discounted $20 per night resort fee for single or double occupancy. The AFIA room block is available until the cut-off date of Oct. 7, or until the block is filled. We encourage you to reserve your room early. 

Please be aware that fraudulent companies have been emailing and calling attendees claiming to represent AFIA and the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. The AFIA does not work with a housing bureau for this event and we do not endorse any of these companies. Reservations should only be made directly with the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point.

What does the hotel resort fee include?

The discounted $20 per night resort fee includes: welcome beverage for two at check-in, two bottles of water daily in your guestroom, coffee and tea in your guest room, 24-hour fitness center access, 4 pools, lawn games, lazy river access & inner tubes, ferry transportation to the resort's secluded island, beach chairs and umbrellas at the resort's beach, rock climbing wall, golf bag storage and electric car charging stations. 

How do I register?

To register, click on the yellow register button on the top right corner of this page to register online. A printed registration list will not be available in 2024. Instead, we invite you to view and download the current registration list here.

What is the registration cancellation policy?

A 90% refund is available if you notify AFIA of cancellation in writing by Friday, Sept. 20. A 50% refund is available when received prior to Friday, Oct. 18. No refund is available after Oct. 18. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the event. AFIA reserves the right to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.

Is there a 1-day registration option?

We do not offer a 1-day registration option. Instead, we urge you to participate in all general sessions and reception at the event to maximize the benefits. 

What is the dress code?

The dress code for this event is resort casual. November temperatures in Bonita Springs, FL have an average high of 81 degrees and 61 degrees as a low.

Is this conference approved for ARPAS credit?

The agenda has been approved for 16 CEU's.

Who do I notify about a food allergy/dietary restrictions?

There is a space during the registration process to let AFIA know about a food allergy/dietary restrictions. You may also email register@afia.org. 

What if I need a special accommodation for a disability?

This meeting is open to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability. What are the terms and conditions of registering?

By registering for AFIA’s conference, you are agreeing that any photos or videos taken throughout the conference or at any networking events may be used for AFIA’s communications and marketing purposes. You agree to abide by the AFIA Antitrust Compliance and Confidentiality Policy and by registering are aware of AFIA's legal notice. Registrants will receive a name badge that must be worn for entry into all speaking sessions, exhibit halls, meals and social functions. AFIA reserves the right to deny entry into the conference or to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.
