Who and why you should attend?

Individuals new to the animal food industry; the Feed Industry Institute (FII) provides a great educational forum to learn about the feed and ingredient industry from those who know it best — industry experts! 

What are the technical requirements?

To participate you will need:

  • Internet: A high-speed connection
  • Audio: Computer speakers and a phone in case of audio difficulties
  • Updated operating systems. 
    • Windows 10, 8.1, 7

    • Google Chrome (recommended), Internet Explorer 11 or later, Windows Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Safari

    • Adobe Flash Player – most current

    • Mac OS X 10.13, 10.12, 10.11, 10.10, 10.9

How do I register?

You can click on the yellow button on the top right corner of this website to register or contact register@afia.org for additional help. 

What are the registration costs?

The Early-bird rate is $300 for member/$650 for nonmembers if you register before 4/29.  After 4/29, the rate goes up to the regular rate of $450 members/$850 nonmembers. 

Can I purchase individual lectures?

Lectures are not available for individual purchase. Once registered, you'll have access to all the lectures and be able to pick and choose which ones you want to watch.  We do hope you are able to take advantgage of all the lectures provided.  

What can you expect at FII? 

This conference offers numerous sessions, sharing practical information on the best practices that can help you in your day-to-day work. 

Will there be an opportunity to network with other attendees? 

Yes, once you register, you will be invited to participate in the LinkedIn group. This will enable you to network with other students via discussion questions, learn best practices and how to improve your LinkedIn. 

Is this conference approved for ARPAS credits? 

The agenda has been approved for ARPAS CEU's.  Module 1 is approved for 3 CEU's, Module 2 is approved for 8 CEU's, Module 3 is approved for 5 CEU's and Module 4 is approved for 3 CEU's.   

How is this different from the AFIA/KSU Fundamentals of Feed Course?

It covers more aspects of the industry than just manufacturing.

What is the dress code?

You decide, we can't see you! 

What is the cancellation and refund policy? 

Since this event is virtual, cancellation is not necessary. If you cannot attend on the day of the live webinar, you will receive a recorded version of the Aug. 1 event the next week. AFIA reserves the right to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for costs incurred by registrants.

What if I need a special accommodation for a disability? 

This meeting is open to all persons without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability. What are the terms and conditions of registering? 

By registering for AFIA’s conference, you are agreeing that any photos or videos taken throughout the conference or at any networking events may be used for AFIA’s communications and marketing purposes. Registrants will receive a name badge that must be worn for entry into all speaking sessions, exhibit halls, meals and social functions. AFIA reserves the right to deny entry into the conference or to cancel any conference it deems necessary. AFIA will not be responsible for airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants.
