AFIA is pleased to offer registrants a limited number of hotel rooms at a preferred rate of $229 per night (plus tax). The block rate guarantees complimentary internet access in your guest room. Please contact the Hyatt Regency San Francisco directly using this link or call (800) 233-1234 to reserve under the group name “American Feed Industry Association.” AFIA has a limited number of rooms blocked. The block is available through Feb. 5, 2022, or until it fills up. To secure your room within the block, be sure to book before Feb. 5, 2022. The AFIA room block entitles you to a 48 hour cancellation policy.  Please be aware that fraudulent companies have been calling attendees claiming to represent us and the Hyatt. AFIA does not work with a housing bureau for this event and we do not endorse any of these companies. Reservations should only be made directly with the Hyatt Regency San Francisco.

Offsite Activity 1 - Muir Woods 



After a short ride from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge, the group will be awed by one of the most magnificent Redwood forests in the world Muir Woods. President Theodore Roosevelt designated this old growth redwood forest as the United State’s 10th National Monument, and on January 8, 2008 it turned 100 years old! Next, the group is off to the charming town of Sausalito, where guests will have time on their own to stroll along Bridgeway where they will be enchanted by the art galleries and local shops. The day will end with a memorable ferry ride across the San Francisco Bay. As guests cross San Francisco Bay, with Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge to the right, the Berkeley Hills to the left, they will see the glorious San Francisco skyline looming ahead!

Offsite Activity 2 - Escape to Alcatraz 



Experience the many moods of Alcatraz with a visit to the Island, the only island prison that is also a part of the National Park Service. Once home to some of America’s most notorious criminals, the federal penitentiary operated from 1934 to 1963 brought a mysterious mystique to “The Rock." After a brief ferry ride across the beautiful San Francisco bay, the group will pick up audio sets and discover what life was really like on “The Rock” for infamous characters such as the “The Birdman”, Al Capone and “Machine Gun” Kelley.These infamous inmates established the island’s notoriety and has established Alcatraz and one of the worlds most legendary prisons.
