The American Feed Industry Association has opened registration for its 2019 Purchasing and Ingredient Suppliers Conference (PISC), happening late next spring May 14-16 in Orlando, Fla. This three-day educational and networking program is the “must attend” event for hundreds of feed ingredient buyers and sellers across the animal food manufacturing industry.

“The 2018 PISC was bigger and better than ever, with a record 702 attendees looking to conduct business with current clients and network with prospects,” said Veronica Rovelli, AFIA’s senior director of meetings and events. “The later dates next year will provide those who met potential clients at the International Production & Processing Expo in February even more opportunities to follow-up on business.”

The week will kick off May 14 with the annual golf and sporting clays tournaments and welcome reception, to be followed by a day-and-a-half of educational programming. Conference attendees will hear presentations on myriad topics, including: the current trade and political landscape, revolutions in supply chain management, the industry’s efforts on managing the African swine fever crisis and other foreign animal diseases, an economic outlook for the industry and more.

The conference will also boast a Suppliers Showcase where AFIA member suppliers will have the opportunity to highlight their products and services. Those interested in being a part of the showcase or sponsoring PISC can learn more about those opportunities on AFIA’s conference website.

PISC will take place at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando. Early-bird registration is available until March 1 for an online rate of $599 for AFIA members and $2,050 for non-members. Following that date, the fee will increase to $669 and $2,150, respectively.
