What happens if the purchaser of the FMT Online subscription leaves the company?

How do employees at different facilities access the FMT Online?
You need a subscription for at least one employee at each facility. Contact Erica Burson, AFIA’s membership and database specialist, at (703) 666-8856, to make sure that your plant manager, or whichever plant employee will use the subscription, is in the AFIA database and if they are not, we will add them and they can then purchase a subscription. The AFIA offers member discounts for 25 or more subscriptions, contact Shakera Daley, AFIA’s accounting and administrative coordinator, at (703) 558-3571, for more information.
When updates are made to the FMT, will I get notified?
Yes, included in your online subscription will be notifications when sections or chapters are updated. The updates will automatically be reflected in those sections or chapters the next time you login.
Can I purchase a printed version of the FMT?
Yes, when you order, select either the “FMT Print” or the “FMT Print and Online 12-month Subscription Combo” product, which is both a printed copy (in a three-ring binder) and a 12-month online subscription.
Where can printed copies be shipped to?
Currently, we are only shipping to locations in the U.S. and Canada.
I purchased an FMT Online subscription but now I want a printed copy, can I do that?

No, when you purchase the printed copy, you automatically receive the most recent copy available. If you wish to update your printed copy when new sections or chapters as they are released, you will need to purchase an additional printed copy. Is the printed copy in a bound book?
No, the printed copy is in a three-ring binder and is black and white.
Can I pay for multiple FMT subscriptions with one payment from a central office?
Yes, you can purchase multiple subscriptions with one form of payment by contacting Shakera Daley, AFIA’s accounting and administrative coordinator, at (703) 558-3571.
I need to purchase FMT subscriptions for multiple plants and/or multiple people. Are there bulk-pricing discounts?
If your company wishes to purchase 25 or more subscriptions to the FMT, there is a member discounted bulk rate. Contact Shakera Daley, AFIA’s accounting and administrative coordinator, at (703) 558-3571, for more information.
How do I know when my FMT Online subscription will expire?
FMT Online 12-month subscriptions last for 365 days from the date of purchase. Two months prior to your expiration date, you will receive an email from the AFIA with instructions on how to renew. Reminder emails will follow until you renew. Renewal prices are substantially discounted from initial prices and we encourage prompt renewal to ensure you receive the renewal pricing and do not lose access to your online portal.
What is the renewal pricing?
AFIA members: The initial 12-month subscription to FMT Online is $299. Each year after that, subscribers can renew for $50.
Nonmembers: The initial 12-month subscription to FMT Online is $499. Each year after that, subscribers can renew for $75.
What happens if I don’t renew my subscription and it expires?
If you don’t renew your subscription, your online portal will close. If you decide to renew later, you will be charged the full initial rate.
I recently completed the AFIA/KSU 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing course. Am I eligible for the discounted rate?
Yes, any person who completed the Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing online course within the last three months is eligible for the discount. You should have received an email with the promotion code to receive this rate. Yes, university students may purchase either a 6- or a 12-month subscription to the FMT Online at a substantial discount. To receive the discount, you must be added to the AFIA database, be issued a username and set a password. Do I or my company have to be an AFIA member to purchase the FMT Online?
You do not have to be an AFIA member to purchase the FMT Online. However, as a membership benefit, AFIA members receive discounted prices for the FMT Online and other products.
